Welcome to Essentialist!
This is a blog to inspire people to live a more intentional life by removing the clutter from their lives so they can focus on what’s trully, well, essential.
The majority of the articles here are written by César but we’ll have guest writers from time to time, so stay tuned for that.
If I have to pick a time, I would say my essentialist journey began in 2016 when I met a friend of mine, Luke, and his partner Gosia. I visited their home, and it was beautiful. Everything had a place, they didn’t own excess stuff and the things they did have were high quality items they loved and used often.
I asked them about it, and they introduced me to The Minimalists and gifted me a couple of their books. From that day onwards I was hooked. When I got back to my flat, I decided to take a look at my possessions and start letting go of those that I did not love, use often, or that I thought someone else might need more.
But being an essentialist is much more than the physical items we own. I started applying these ideas to my work, technology usage, social media, friends and family, and much more.
Fast-forward 4 years, and here I am, writing about the same topics that I discovered and helped me so much. This blog is partially a way to pass on the message, but also a way for me to connect with people around the world who would like to hear my ideas, discuss them, and grow together.
I really hope you find what I share with you in this blog of value. If so, I would love to hear from you.
